The Divine Decree Is Always A Bounty
“The divine decree related to the believer is always a bounty, even if it is in the form of withholding (something that is desired), and it is a blessing, even if it appears to be a trial, and an affliction that has befallen him is in reality a cure, even though it appears to be a disease!
Unfortunately, due to the ignorance of the worshiper, and his transgressions, he does not consider anything...

The meaning of alathariyyah
Al athaar literally means footsteps, and al-athariyyah means: I follow the footsteps of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, I cling to the Qur’an and to the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Al athaar also means narrations.
Alathariyyah is for a sister. Alatharee is for a brother. (Hope that explained my url, to the person who asked me).

Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers, evil-doers), and...

Al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyyaadh (rahimahullaah) said to a man: “How many (years) have come upon you?”
He replied: “Sixty years.”
Al-Fudhayl: “Therefore, for sixty years you have been going to your Lord and you are about to reach (Him).”
So the man said: “To Allaah we belong and to Him we shall return!”
So Al-Fudhayl asked: “Do you know the meaning of that (statement)? You are saying, I belong to Allaah as a servant and I am going to return to Him. So whoever knows that he belongs to Allaah as a servant and that he will return to him, then he should know that he will be stopped. And whoever knows that he will be stopped, then he should know that he will be questioned. And whoever knows that he will be questioned, then let him prepare an answer for the question.” [Jaami’ al-Uloom wal-Hikam of Ibn Rajab]

On the authority of Jabir in a narration ascribed to the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam:
“Indeed of those of you who are the most beloved to me and sitting closest to me on the Day of Judgement, are those of you who are the best in their manners. Indeed the most hated of you to me and those of you who will be sitting the furthest away from me on the Day of Judgement are those who speak a lot...

“A man will be brought, and the people of the hellfire will gather around him. His intestines will be hanging out. The people will say: Oh so and so, didn’t you used to enjoin the good and forbid the evil? He will reply: I would enjoin the good and fail to perform it, and I would forbid the evil and fall into it.”

I’ve said this many times before, but..
There is a difference between judging and advising. Allaah will judge us, so you better fix up yourself before you stand in front of Him on the Day of Judgement.
Yes, of course there is a certain way to deal with the people, one has to be wise and deal with them in a manner that suits the situation.
And yes, of course you intend good with all you do. But you can’t justify your ignorance or...

The Prayer of the Lovers¹
Amongst those things that is necessary to know is that the prayer by which the eye finds pleasure and by which the heart finds comfort and rest, is the one that combines six matters:
The First - Sincerity of Purpose

“The comfort and rest of the lover and the pleasure of his eye lies in the prayer but the unmindful one who turns away has no share of this. Rather the prayer is too great and burdensome for him. When he stands (for prayer) it is as if he is standing on hot coals, until he finishes from the obligatory section of the prayer. He hastens it and speeds (his performance of it). Thus, there is no...

Rewards of Reciting the Qur’an
The rewards of reciting the Qur’an are many. An authentic hadith in at-Tirmithee states:
“Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “Laam” is a letter and “Meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these...
